Are we keeping our kids safe online?

CUSD proudly boasts a "1:1 device" program - providing Google Chromebooks or even Apple devices to all students in 1st -12th grades. But what are we doing to ensure their safety on these devices? We owe it to our kids to be vigilent in protecting their data and information - it's the right thing to do AND it's also the law. (Check out this article for more information)


I have initiated a Board committee to address these issues from a multi-faceted approach. I am hopeful that staff will be making recommendations in the areas of media literacy, cyber security, cyber citizenship, and cyber safety.
